Protecting children in the state of New Mexico.
An estimated total of one million cases of substantiated child abuse will occur in the United States this year. This number suggests that fourteen out of every one thousand children will become victims of child maltreatment.
These attorneys represent children who have been abused or neglected and are in the custody of the State of New Mexico. They appear in court proceedings on behalf of the child to ensure the best interests and welfare of the child is secure and safe.
The Children’s Court Attorneys must follow provisions stated in the New Mexico State Statues, Children’s Code Section.
